Road trip

There were times when we almost forgot about her as she sat quietly reading picture books and playing with small toys taken from her Sesame Street rucksack; it was only on the few occasions when she requested yet another spin of her nursery rhyme cassette that we were brought back to the reality of family roadtrips.

We had already broadcast our first roadtrip documentary on public television, so we went back to the same programmers and approached them with a new idea—“What if we shot an annual documentary series about these student roadtrips that are happening every summer and then aired it on public television?[…]”
